| Sponsor | steen | Aug 25, 2005 2:51am | well...the different types of metal are way different, that's why I prefer speaking in types ;)
2: true that, on the other hand I think hardcore is closer to metal than to punk...especially with the fake punk we have now *grins |

And to put my mouth in on the other topics, I consider hardcore to be a form of metal, just listen to bands like The Haunted, God Forbid, and Unearth, where they mix all different styles into one cohesive form.
And if we want to speak of bands, lets talk of Dark Tranquillity, my fave band of the year so far and definitely in the running for best album this year with "Character." |

Check out the first couple of albums by Motorhead and Metallica for examples. It just evolved from there and morphed into the many varieties of Metal that you hear today. |

|
| | 441857 | Aug 26, 2005 4:57am | Hehe. Type O Negative is a parody band, lead singer Peter Steele himself admitted to following the Goth trend just to make fun of it. Coal Chamber was more Nu-Metal than Goth Metal, and Cradle doesnt know what the hell it is.
I think steen is referring to bands like Sentenced, Flowing Tears, Lacuna Coil, Delight, After Forever, Epica, Moonspell, Paradise Lost, Katatonia, etc., most of whom I listen to as well. |
